Max

I have spoken to John Anani this morning who has, I understand agreed with you that he will recommend to you to condition the application's approval.

Further I understand that you will now be approving the application with this condition.

I would be grateful if you could confirm this and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have already told you that the sound recording is going ahead this weekend in accordance with John's requirements and I expect to get the report to you and John on Tuesday of next week.

Dear Louise

Our Environmental Health Officer noted the following:

2.      The noise level measured on the roof at midday in October 2008 was 49dBA. This implies that a Chiller was running when the background noise level was measured.

3.      In another document titled “The replacement of chillers in St Georges Court” states that the new Chiller’s sound output is 3dB less at 10m. The technical data for the new plant states that the sound output of 73dBA at 1m. This is equivalent to 53dBA at 10m and 4dB more than the level of noise on the roof.

The following is therefore requested:

2.      The acoustic report shall include measured background noise with all existing items of plant on the roof switched off.

3.      The acoustic report shall demonstrate theoretically, with spreadsheet calculations, that Camden’s planning noise conditions would be met at the nearest resident.

4.      The nearest resident shall be indentified in the acoustic report with a location map.

I would be grateful if you provide this information within 14 days of this email, otherwise the application will be determined on it's current merits.

Regards

Max…

Dear Max

I refer to the above application for the replacement of two existing Chiller units with two new chillers units on roof of offices (Class B1). Having read through the docs in support of the application, I note the following:

4.      Also that the new plant will be enclosed with acoustic louvres.

With this scattered information, I am inclined to request for the following:

Please revert to me with any queries.

Best wishes

John
