Horns Comments raised on the Camden Memorandum ref.
2009/5539/P
Importance: High
Charles,
Further to yesterday's conversation, i've had a chance
to chat with my colleagues and our consultants and they have confirmed the
following in response to Michelle Horn's comments:
- PR Zone 2 shows a
service bay which will include a drop off kerb for level service trolley
access, this will not be used for private drop-off
purposes.
- Taxi Queuing rails
are designed with generous DDA compliant space between
them.
- The security bollards
will include black visibility strips as can be seen opposite at St Pancras
Station. The tactile studs have been designed to match those on the opposite
side of the Pancras
Road crossing; we would have thought it prudent to
use a consistent approach to avoid confusing the blind and partially blind
users.
- All bollard locations
and open widths will have a minimum space between of
1200mm.
- The Island within zone 6 is for drop off purposes only.
People will not be encouraged to move into the vehicular area and there will
be no drop kerb.
- The Disabled bay
sizes are compliant with DDA requirements and the load and unload areas around
the vehicle bay will be flush, sawn yorkstone setts which will not represent
any problem for wheelchair users.
I hope
that this addresses all the points raised. If there's anything further
that you would like us to look at i'm happy for it to be attached as
informatives to the decision.
I see
that Jas has sent you copies of the revised drawings, so i hope that is all the
information that you need.
Many
thanks
Steve
