Dear Gavin,
Further to my email yesterday, we have calculated the impacts of
reducing the green roof area. Based on an approx 100 year return period
storm:
· Reduced area of green roof results in surface water discharge increasing from 2.2 to 2.33l/s
· Therefore total combined discharge from site (including 1.5l/s foul flow) increases from 3.7 to 3.83l/s
· New discharge rate represents an increase of less than 4%.
I trust you will agree that the very minor increase in runoff
(still well below existing) remains acceptable, and you would like us to
proceed with final drawings of the revised roof design?
Regards,
